Digital Signage Services
Digital Photo Frames can be utilized for Digital Signage
This is an inexpensive way to display content that changes often,
daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
If you have your own content but don't know quite how to convert it
and get it ready for a digital frame, we can help.
If you use programs such as Powerpoint, or Word I can give you
simple guidelines to prepare files for conversion. If you have an
agency or an artist on staff I can also give you simple guidelines.
Most frames today have an aspect ratio of 4:3. To check this, divide
the higher pixel dimension by the smaller pixel dimension (800 divided
by 600 = 1.333. If you come up with a different answer then see
section below for 5:4 aspect ratio.
4:3 Aspect Ratio (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, etc.)
Create a document or a powerpoint presentation with a size of 10" by
7.5". Remember to keep point sizes large. Small point sizes are
difficult to read if not standing next to the digital sign.
If you already have content created by your artist and it is close to a
4:3 aspect ratio, have them create an acrobat file and I will convert
the acrobat file into a suitable image for your digital sign. For instance,
if you have content of a size of 8.5 x 11 the content can usually be
cropped to a size of 8.25 x 11 or alternately the size can be altered to
8.5 x 11.333 and a little more margin added to the 11 inch dimension.
5:4 Aspect Ratio (1280x1024)
Create a document size of 10x8.
16:9 Aspect Ratio (480x234, 1280x768)
Create a document size of either 8 x 4.5 or 16 x 9 inches.
Other Aspect Ratios
If your digital frame is a different aspect ratio such as 3 x 2 (720 x
480), the pricing will be the same. Just include the pixel dimensions
that your frame is using when you email your files and we will make
the correct conversion.
Guidelines for submitting files
If submitting Acrobat Files (pdf), be sure to embed all fonts.
Likewise, if submitting a powerpoint file go to the tools menu and
select options and then the save tab and checkoff the embed fonts
option. If you are using a font that can't be embedded then please
include the font with the file you are sending.
If sending a word doc include all the fonts you used.
Zip all of your files together and if the file size is under 5 megabytes
email to email@example.com. If over 5 mb you can try to email
to me as I can accept large emails but most ISPs will block large
emails. Also incluide in your email your name so I can match it up with
your online order. Alternately there are many free ways to transfer
large files on the web. I don't make any recommendations but
www.pando.com has one free method for sending large files. It is a
beta so beware.
To place your order choose the appropriate range of images for
conversion from your pdf, powerpoint or word file and fill in the actual
quantity when you are taken to the shopping cart. See below.
